Rodney Moore Releases New Video Covering Glen Campbell Song
(Chatsworth, CA) In 1968, “Wichita Lineman” was written by American songwriter Jimmy Webb, and first recorded by American rock and country singer Glen Campbell with backing from the members of The Wrecking Crew. Since then, the hugely popular song has been covered by such greats as Sergio Mendes & the Brasil ‘66 in 1969, REM in 1996, Cassandra Wilson in 2002, and James Taylor 2009. Now, porn legend Rodney Moore can be added to the infamous list of covers of the hit song that was named by Rolling Stone as one of the top 200 songs of all time.
Rodney’s soulful cover has him playing all the instruments (drums, keyboard, guitar and bass), singing the vocals, and even dancing in the video. And, even the notorious Woofie Katt makes several appearances. Watch the music video under the name David Perry at and see why it has a 94% approval rating.
“I learned to play the song first on the piano and then decided to record it and worked out guitar, bass and drum parts,” says Rodney Moore. “It is truly a great song. I hope everyone enjoys it. I’m really happy with my synth and guitar solos at the end, and I even did a little boogying. ‘Dancing with the Stars,’ are you ready for me? Make sure to give it a thumbs up.”
