APAC Throws BBQ to Celebrate Mentor Program & Kick Off 2018 Election
(Hollywood, CA) Summertime is here and the Adult Performer Advocacy Committee (APAC) has a lot to celebrate. They’re throwing a fundraiser Summer BBQ Party on Sunday, July 1st in Northridge from 6pm to 9pm.
The Summer BBQ Party will feature an amazing menu catered by Nathan Bronson, as well as a chance to take a dip in the pool and meet other adult performers.
The most exciting part of the night will be the official launch of the APAC Peer to Peer Mentorship Program established by Riley Reyes. PTP matches experienced performers (mentors) with new performers looking for guidance (mentees). Mentors and mentees will be meeting for the very first time. It’s not too late to sign for the program—apply at or fill out an application at the BBQ.
Another exciting event taking place during the BBQ will be the announcement of nominees for the upcoming APAC election for the positions of President, Treasurer, and Chairperson, along with two new positions, Director of Education and Director of Outreach. APAC members who would like to run should submit their nomination along with a brief bio through the APAC site.
“The APAC Peer to Peer (PTP) Mentorship program is a long-awaited addition to APAC's offerings,” says APAC Vice President Riley Reyes. “I’m so proud to see the launch of PTP. Providing new performers with support and mentorship is an invaluable tool in empowering the next generation of adult actors.”
